Darkness! Tullibardine 26 Bottling Note

26 year old Tullibardine single malt, bottled for the Darkness! range. This was given a finishing in a specially coopered 50 litre Pedro Ximénez cask, resulting in a huge flavour profile showing off massive Sherry cask influence.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fragrant and slightly floral malt. Develops notes of chilli chocolate, roast chicken crisps, raisins and fresh peach.

Palate: Very chocolatey. Soon enough notes of peanuts (chocolate covered, of course), blackcurrant jam and lime peel. Peppery oak on the mid-palate.

Finish: A subtle smokiness lingers, as does cooking spices.

Overall: Malty whisky and Oloroso are a match made in heaven, with plenty of vibrant, often tropical, fruit and spice.
