Darkness! Tobermory 16 Bottling Note

An intense, Sherried, heavily peated 16 year old Tobermory single malt, bottled as part of the Darkness! range. This whisky was given a finishing period in a specially coopered, 50 litre Oloroso Sherry cask, bringing lip-smacking fruit notes to the table, blending excellently with the big, bold peat surging through its core.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Well, well. Peaty red Jelly Babies. Robinsons Fruit & Barley Summer Fruits. Freshly picked berries in a cardboard punnet.

Palate: Robust, mouth coating peat that's all pervading. That's a good thing, like a warming peaty hug. Grapefruit too, and a touch of mandarin orange.

Finish: Very long with lingering smoked oats and a subtle jammy vein.
