Ledaig #2 TBWC Bottling Note
The second batch of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Ledaig single malt Scotch whisky once again features an incredibly angry looking chap, flying through the air as if he was Neo from the Matrix with a rather large sledgehammer, on his way to thoroughly ruffle some feathers. But where's he going? Islay, of course! He's off to show that the peatiness of Ledaig whisky can put up a fight against the Islay giants. However, if you thought he was scary before, beware - that wasn't even his final form. Now he's got a helmet, presumably to protect his bonce from whatever sentient being Islay's spirit takes form of. It'll be a battle for the ages!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: More restrained peat than you may expect. Bags of porridge with lemon sherbet boiled sweets and erm... chamois leather. Yep, that. Horseradish and grilled Swiss chard add further depth.
Palate: 1-2-Whoosh! That nose almost lures you in too close! Rich and peaty apple porridge and golden caster sugar. More chamois leather. Lemon peel now, apple juice and horseradish warmth once again.
Finish: Smoky oats and apple peel.
Overall: Another top notch peated malt from the Isle of Mull, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains, blended malts and blends from a variety of renowned distilleries. These whiskies are adorned with cultish comic book-style labels.
