Ledaig 18yo TBWC Bottling Note
Well-peated single malt from the Tobermory distillery, released under the Ledaig name and independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. This was aged for 18 years before being bottled, and features the somewhat-miffed personification of Ledaig on its way to Islay - presumably to put that hammer to use...
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Toasted rye bread, steak with peppercorn sauce, and touches of dried earth. A subtle floral hint of hibiscus petals and fruity notes of apple cores.
Palate: A well-balanced expression, with earthy smoky peat and Cherry Bakewell in equal measures. Dried oak and Maltesers develop later on.
Finish: More rye, well-aged brandy and crumbly Biscotti. After a few minutes, you'll find notes of black tea, too.
