PUNI 4yo TBWC Bottling Note

It's the first ever bottling of whisky from Italy's PUNI Distillery from that Boutique-y Whisky Company, released as part of its Wine Cask Series! This expression is distilled from a combination of malted barley, malted rye, and malted wheat, and has been finished in a Pinot Noir cask, imparting wonderful red fruit and subtly drying spice notes. The label shows off the eye-catching architecture of the PUNI Distillery, though it looks like someone has given it a fresh lick of tartan paint...
 

Nose: Dried berries – namely strawberry and raspberry. Sweet nutty notes underneath, plus a good helping of vanilla.

Palate: Foam bananas, strawberry bonbons, and white chocolate, balanced by malty notes and a hint of peppery heat.

Finish: Cassia and nutmeg on the finish.
