Craigellachie 9yo TBWC Bottling Note

9 year old single malt from the Craigellachie distillery in Speyside, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Craigellachie is one of the few remaining distilleries to use a worm tub to cool vapour from the stills, hence why a worm tub is front-and-centre on this label. However, the name has been taken a little too literally and has become, frankly, nightmarish.
 

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Biscuity malt, vanilla and lemon emerge through dried oak spices and a backdrop of smoke and minerality.

Palate: Sweet cereals, milky coffee and charred oak lead, before dried mango, earthy pear and a smattering of butterscotch provide depth.

Finish: A touch of vanilla tablet and dried barley remain.

Overall: Oodles of delicious flavours combine here beautifully.
