Strathmill 24 Year Old Bottling Note

A 24 year old Strathmill single malt Scotch whisky joins our Single Cask Series! This one was distilled back in October 1990 and left to age in a single Sherry cask until August 2015, when we bottled it at 55.6% ABV without any chill-filtration or artificial colouring.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Elegant, buttery brioche notes, dotted with ripe blueberries, fresh peaches and clotted cream. A bit of heather introduces floral elements, while a scoop of grapefruit brings out a sweet, lively citrus character.

Palate: The citrus appears much earlier on the palate, paired with malted bread and golden barley. A touch of caramel pops up later on, which develops into rich chocolate truffle notes later.

Finish: Quite long, with the sweetness of the brioche in particular sticking around handsomely.
