Longmorn - Batch 1 Bottling Note
This right here is the first batch of Longmorn single malt Scotch whisky which has been independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! On the label you get a peek at the inside of the distillery, with its beautiful stills and whirring steam engine... Wait, steam engine?!
That's right, the Longmorn distillery in Speyside is home to a workable steam engine. Though this doesn't mean that the distillery classifies as a train (as Sam initially pondered), it's still a mighty cool bit of kit.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Fruit and barley character - raspberries and caramelised pears, pancakes with cinnamon, blueberries and lemon, fresh baking.
Palate: Tongue-coating and malty with maple syrup, toffee, cedar and wood spice, Manuka honey and sourdough bread.
Finish: Sweet malt, white pepper and honeyed oak.
Overall: A malty, flavoursome Longmorn that hits the spot.
