Laphroaig 12yo TBWC Bottling Note
An independently bottled Laphroaig single malt Scotch whisky! The label stars the chaps off of Living Room Whisky, who, of course, managed to track down one of Dr. E. Brown's messages in a bottle on the shorelines of Islay, successfully follow his instructions and then win That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Islay Ultra Competition Showdown Throwdown Extravaganza 2013 To The Extreme Lucky Best Time! Go them! Bessie Williamson seems to be looking on approvingly, and HAL seems to be looking on... well, ominously.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Well-grilled bananas, sticking plasters, toasted barrel staves, sea salt and a little bit of diced fig.
Palate: Heavy on the medicinal peat at first, before notes of sugared almond and juicy white fruit. Slowly develops a herbaceous spice with cardamom and nutmeg.
Finish: Salt & pepper kettle chips and salted caramel. Long lasting smoke notes remain.
