Glenrothes 20yo TBWC Bottling Note

Tasty Speyside single malt from the Glenrothes distillery, matured for two decades before being bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label features the ghostly apparition of Biawa 'Byeway' Makalaga, chilling out in the graveyard next door to the distillery, enjoying a dram of its whisky.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

 

Nose: Cooked fruit (apple and blackberry pie comes to mind), with Christmassy spices underneath. A good core of robust malt.

Palate: Nutty barley and brown bread, followed by redcurrants, flamed orange peel, toffee and a hint of tobacco.

Finish: Brandy snaps, cinnamon sticks and honey.
