Glentothes 20yo TBWC Bottling Note
The Glenrothes distillery in Speyside is home to a 5.5 ton mash tun, twelve oak washbacks, eight stainless steel washbacks and five pairs of stills. Oh, and it also used to be home to a ghost. Don’t worry, he wasn’t one of those evil ghosts like in the movies, and he was courteously removed from the premises, so don’t be afraid to visit the distillery if you ever get a chance. However, do keep it in mind when you see the graveyard that’s right next to the distillery, which you can see on our Glenrothes label. There’s the ghost, too!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose: Toffee pennies, buttered white bread and Jelly babies (covered in icing sugar).
Palate: Malty chocolate and smooth peanut butter. A warming touch of ginger spiciness.
Finish: Soft and creamy, with a subtle fruitiness lingering for a few minutes.
