Glen Elgin 16yo #7 TBWC Bottling Note

As you can tell, That Boutique-y Whisky Company are fans of Glen Elgin. This right here is batch number seven! This 16-year-old single malt Scotch was distilled in April 2006 and matured in a single sherry hogshead, until it was bottled by TBWC. A fantastically fruity Speysider with a hefty dose of complexity due to those worm tub condensers.

 

Nose: Fragrant and floral. Rose petals and orange blossom. Pain au raisin, fruit and nut milk chocolate, with hints of dried mixed herbs too.

Palate: Sweet and fruity. Fresh plums, candied lemon peel, and runny honey.

Finish: Spicy, with some chilli chocolate heat.
