Deanston 18yo TBWC Bottling Note

It's the fifth wonderful batch of Deanston single malt, lovingly bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company! The label of this 18 year old expression gives hints towards Deanston's founding in the 1960s. It's not a bad view of the distillery those hippies have from the roof of their campervan...

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Golden barley, charred oak and boiled orange sweets, followed by cinnamon and bruised orchard fruit.

Palate: Salted caramel, marmalade and a little gingerbread initially, then oily nuttiness, pink grapefruit bitterness and a soft, floral vanilla undertone develop.

Finish: Tropical fruit salad and a prickle of baking spice linger.
